novita PuriClean™ Air Purifier NAP101i


novita is a very familiar brand in Singapore with a wide range of products ranging from air purifiers, water purifiers and more recently, they have come out with other products such as fans and massage devices. My novita air purifier which I bought more than three years ago is still running strong, giving me full confidence in their range of products.

Back to what they do best, which is air purifier, their basic model NAP101i is by no means inferior to its bigger brothers like the NAP606 and the NAP002Hi. I would recommend the NAP101i for a typical HDB bedroom since its coverage is up to 25sqm. If you need to purify the air for the living/dining room, then you might consider the larger NAP606 which can cover up to 38sqm.

The NAP101i offers the powerful 4-Step purification process which purifies the air for you. the 4-Step purification process consists of 3 filters and a built-in ionizer to provide comprehensive cleaning power and refreshes the air.

Washable Pre-filter. First, air passes through the washable pre-filter trapping large dust particles such as hair, scurf, course particulate present in the air.

HEPA filter. Next, the clean air is then pushed through the HEPA filter which traps up to 95% of harmful airborne allergens such as mold spores, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, tobacco smoke, some bacteria and viruses.

Granular activated carbon filter. The granular activated carbon filter can effectively absorb harmful chemicals such as benzene and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and also helps eliminate airborne chemicals. The carbon filter also removes unpleasant odors so your indoor air remains fresh. Together, the activated carbon and HEPA filter can trap 99.97% of small particles 0.3 microns. The granular activated carbon filter can particularly benefit people who suffer allergies or aggravation from impure air, including second hand smoke.

Built-in ionizer. Lastly, the built-in ionizer eliminates airborne allergens and germs such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores, bacteria, virus, and fungi. I bet most of you have heard your parents or you parent-in-laws said this before. Do not hang baby’s clothes out to dry  overnight . They must be kept indoors before sunset!
